Club Med has named Michelle Davies as General Manager for its Singapore, Malaysia, and Emerging Markets operations. She will oversee the company’s Southeast Asia (SEA) markets, succeeding Olivier Monceau.

Davies brings more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality and travel industry. For the past six years, she has led Club Med’s Pacific market, guiding its recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Her leadership helped the Pacific become one of Club Med’s top five markets globally.

Michelle Davies’ Pacific team set new performance records, particularly in ski-related offerings, by focusing on both direct sales and travel agent partnerships. The team earned the Most Popular Accommodation Group title at the National Travel Industry Awards for three years in a row. In 2025, Davies took on additional responsibilities, overseeing Club Med’s emerging markets in Southeast Asia and the Pacific (SEAP).

With experience in the UK and Australia, Davies offers a global viewpoint and a history of managing diverse teams. Her goal is to solidify Club Med as the top premium all-inclusive choice for families and couples in Singapore and Malaysia, focusing on both direct and travel agent channels.

She will also work to grow both direct and travel agent channels, bringing best practices from the Pacific and emerging markets to the region. Davies hands over the Pacific to Marc Letourneau, who succeeds her as General Manager of Club Med Pacific. The two will continue to collaborate closely on Club Med’s travel trade approach.

Her immediate priorities for 2027 include the opening of Club Med Borneo in Sabah, which will have its first full year of operation. She is also overseeing the complete transformation of Club Med Cherating, which began renovations on October 11. The goal is to reimagine the resort for a new generation of guests.

Davies stated, “My priorities for 2027 are clear. Club Med Borneo opens its doors this month, and 2027 will be its first full year welcoming guests. At the same time, Club Med Cherating… is undergoing a complete transformation that will reimagine the resort for a new generation of guests. Across both markets, we will keep building on the momentum of our mountain leadership in Japan & beyond, and on the new lifestyle positioning of our sun resorts.”

Davies noted that the long-term vision for the region is bold. Club Med aims to make Singapore one of its top 10 global markets within a decade, with projected growth surpassing 80%. Malaysia is also poised for significant growth, marking a new phase of development.

Olivier Monceau has led Club Med Singapore and Malaysia since 2022. He consolidated the business’s strategy and diversified the resort offering in Malaysia. He laid the groundwork for Club Med Borneo and set in motion the complete revamp of Club Med Cherating.
