Pre-Opening and Launch Focus

His new role will center on the pre-opening and launch of Avani Singapore Hotel. Responsibilities include team recruitment, operational readiness, commercial strategy, and guest experience.

Rabbidge brings 20 years of international hospitality experience across Australia, the Maldives, Indonesia, Fiji, and Europe.

Extensive Hospitality Background

Before Minor Hotels, he was Hotel Manager at W Sydney, overseeing the pre-opening and launch of the 588-room property, billed as the world’s largest W Hotel.

From 2018 to 2022, Rabbidge was Director of Sales and Marketing at W Bali – Seminyak. He also held operational leadership roles at other Marriott properties in the region.

His career includes senior management positions with Mantra Group, providing experience in hotel operations, revenue generation, and brand positioning.

Leading Avani Singapore’s Pre-Opening

At Avani Singapore, Rabbidge will lead pre-opening preparations and the launch. He’ll collaborate with Minor Hotels‘ regional and corporate teams on market positioning, team development, and operational readiness.

According to Minor Hotels, the property will bring Avani’s focus on smart design, upbeat service, and good value to Singapore.

Rabbidge stated his immediate priority is building the team and shaping the hotel’s guest experience.

“Having led Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort, I am excited to take on a new challenge with the brand in Singapore. My priority is to build a strong team and create a hotel experience that reflects both Avani’s personality and the character of the city. Singapore is a competitive hospitality market, and we have an opportunity to offer a fresh perspective through thoughtful design, genuine service and a strong connection to the destination,” said Judd Rabbidge, General Manager of Avani Singapore Hotel.

Rabbidge holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Hospitality, Tourism and Business Management from the Pacific International Hotel Management School in New Zealand.
