Celebrity Cruises announced its 2028‑2029 deployment on Aug. 10, 2026, unveiling a schedule that spans all seven continents and adds new ports to its roster.
European season expands with Edge Series ships
The line will place four Edge Series vessels—Celebrity Beyond, Celebrity Xcel, Celebrity Ascent and Celebrity Apex—in Europe for the first time. The ships will run seven‑ to 14‑night voyages from Southampton, touching Norway, Iceland and other Scandinavian highlights. Beyond, returning after a 2023 hiatus, will debut a Mediterranean restaurant called Bora and a poolside venue named the Celebrity Pool Club, featuring Orange Peel Bar & Grille and Tacos del Sol.
Itineraries include a 14‑night trek through Reykjavik, Isafjordur, Akureyri and Seydisfjordur before entering Norway’s fjords at Geiranger, Ålesund, Flåm, Nordfjordeid and Bergen. Apex will sail 12‑night routes to Oslo, Skagen, Stockholm, Tallinn, Helsinki and Copenhagen, plus a new British Isles circuit that marks the line’s first visit to Galway, Ireland.

For Mediterranean travelers, Xcel, Ascent and Eclipse will offer seven‑ to 11‑night trips to Italy, France, Spain, Morocco, Portugal, Greece and Turkey. Constellation will revisit Bari, Italy, for the first time since 2014, while Infinity will resume year‑round European service, including an overnight stop in Alexandria, Egypt.
Alaska, Hawaii, Asia and beyond
Three vessels will serve Alaska in 2028. Equinox will make its first Alaska season, and round‑trip Hawaii sailings will depart from Los Angeles.
In Asia, the renewed Celebrity Solstice will run a full Japan season from April to October 2028, visiting Tokyo, Mt. Fuji, Kyoto and Aomori, and timing trips to coincide with Golden Week and Gion Matsuri.
South Pacific sailings on Solstice will include Tauranga, New Zealand; Lifou, Loyalty Islands; and Vanuatu’s Mystery Island. Meanwhile, Edge and Solstice will continue to cover Australia and New Zealand, offering 23 departures from Sydney and Auckland.

The itinerary rollout also brings an extended South America program and a return to Antarctica.
From a practical standpoint, the sheer breadth of this deployment suggests the company is betting on post‑pandemic demand for diverse, longer‑duration voyages. If travelers continue to prioritize unique experiences over short trips, the expanded itineraries could fill capacity across the fleet. However, the success of these plans will hinge on the ability to attract passengers amid ongoing economic uncertainty and competing cruise offers.
Bookings are open for the summer 2028 Japan sailings, the Europe, Bermuda, Canada and New England cruises, and the Alaska, Hawaii and South America programs. Further itineraries for the Caribbean and 2029 Galápagos voyages will be announced later.
