Delta is bringing back its annual summer travel promotion, offering bonus miles, flight deals, and partner discounts under the Beyond the Summer event starting July 21. The initiative provides incentives for members to book trips, extending rewards beyond flights to position SkyMiles membership as a year-round value.
Double miles on select flights
Eligible SkyMiles members who enroll and book qualifying Delta Main Classic or Delta Main Extra itineraries by July 23, 2026, can earn double miles on eligible flights. The 72-hour promotion covers routes to destinations like Riyadh, Seoul, Honolulu, Sydney, Rome, Paris, Cancun, and others across Delta’s global network, including Auckland, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, and Shanghai. The accelerated earning rate applies only to the base fare of the ticket, excluding taxes, fees, and ancillary charges.
Members must complete travel on the featured flights to qualify for the bonus. The promotion does not apply to canceled or rescheduled itineraries unless rebooked within the eligible fare classes.
More ways to earn miles beyond flights
The promotion extends beyond airfare, with rewards for hotel stays, vacation packages, and home rentals. Delta Vacations is offering up to $275 off eligible flight-and-hotel packages, along with miles and Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQDs) toward elite status. The deal runs through August 6, 2026, with minimum spend requirements that vary by destination and package type.
The Delta Vacations offer includes a curated selection of hotels, rides, and activities bundled with Delta flights. This integration allows members to book an entire trip through a single platform while ensuring that Medallion members retain their benefits, such as complimentary upgrades and priority boarding. The inclusion of MQDs helps elite-status seekers progress toward Silver, Gold, Platinum, or Diamond Medallion status.
For standalone hotel bookings, Delta Stays provides 4X miles per dollar spent, plus VIP perks like room upgrades and food credits at select properties. The raised earning rate applies to bookings made through Delta’s hotel portal. VIP benefits depend on the hotel’s participation in the program and may be subject to availability at check-in.

Members linking their SkyMiles and Airbnb accounts can earn 1 mile per dollar on eligible home rentals. A separate offer adds 3 miles per dollar and a 2,000-mile bonus for Airbnb Experiences or Services booked by August 6, 2026, and completed by March 31, 2027. The Experiences component includes activities like guided tours or cooking classes, while Services cover practical needs such as airport transfers. The $50 minimum spend requirement focuses the bonus on higher-value bookings.
Delta’s partnership with Airbnb has expanded in recent years. The bonus miles offer includes a base rate for home rentals and an enhanced rate for Experiences, creating a tiered system that rewards deeper engagement. The extended completion window for Experiences allows members to plan activities months in advance.
The event highlights Delta’s focus on integrating its loyalty program into everyday spending. SkyMiles members can redeem miles for award travel, but the program also emphasizes earning opportunities through partners—from car rentals to dining—making it easier to accumulate rewards without flying. This diversification reduces reliance on flight activity.
Exclusions apply to all offers, including taxes, fees, and discounts. Members should review terms for each promotion, as some benefits require advance booking, minimum purchases, or specific fare classes. Miles earned through these promotions may take several weeks to post to a member’s account. Some partner offers, such as the Airbnb Experiences bonus, require members to manually link their accounts and ensure their bookings are coded correctly.
Delta’s Beyond the Summer event runs through August 6, 2026, with select offers extending into early 2027. The staggered expiration dates allow members to take advantage of promotions at different stages of their travel planning.
