Warner Bros. World™ Yas Island in Abu Dhabi opened its newest attraction, the Kryptonite Collider, on Thursday, inviting guests to experience a DC‑themed centrifuge ride that simulates Lex Luthor’s “Everyman Project.” The ride, the park’s first permanent addition since its 2018 debut, seats 32 riders and combines motion, visual effects and onboard audio to create a high‑energy simulation of unlocking superhuman powers.
What the ride offers
Located in the Metropolis section of the indoor park, the attraction begins inside a detailed LexCorp laboratory. Visitors receive a briefing that frames the experience as a voluntary experiment using kryptonite, the mineral that weakens Superman. Once on the centrifuge, the machine spins riders through a vortex of synchronized lighting and sound, aiming to mimic the sensation of gaining extraordinary abilities.

At the conclusion of the spin, digital displays present each guest’s “newly acquired superpowers,” delivering a personalized finish that ties the narrative back to Lex Luthor’s theory of empowering ordinary people. General manager Hind Galadari called the ride a “real milestone,” noting that every element—from the lab setting to the power‑reveal finale—was designed to meet the “immersive storytelling and world‑class entertainment” expectations of visitors.
Context within the park’s lineup
The launch aligns with the ongoing DC Super‑Villains season, a summer program that features live shows and character encounters across the venue. The season, which runs through 30 August, highlights a shift in the balance of power as villains and heroes intersect in themed experiences. The new ride therefore adds a villain‑centric perspective to an area traditionally dominated by hero narratives.

The park recently earned the Best Theme Park in the World award at the 2026 Liseberg Applause Awards, marking the first time a Middle Eastern location received the honor. It also benefits from Yas Island’s reputation, having been named the World’s Leading Theme Park Destination for 2025 by the World Travel Awards. This recognition reflects the region’s commitment to delivering large‑scale attractions, from Ferrari World’s record‑breaking coasters to SeaWorld’s marine exhibits.
Overall, the Kryptonite Collider adds a fresh layer to the portfolio, offering a mix of storytelling and physical thrill that aligns with the award‑winning reputation. Visitors can now explore Lex Luthor’s laboratory, endure the spin, and leave with a digital record of their “superpowers,” all without leaving the confines of Abu Dhabi’s indoor entertainment hub.
