Condor Launches Daily Nonstop Service to Chicago

Condor will launch daily nonstop service between Frankfurt (FRA) and Chicago O’Hare (ORD), expanding the airline’s North American network to 12 U.S. and Canadian gateways. Operating seasonally through September 12, 2027, the new route connects one of the world’s largest aviation hubs with one of the United States’ most significant economic centers. This move comes as the airline prepares to transition operations to Frankfurt Airport’s new Terminal 3 beginning with the 2027 summer schedule.

The new service aims to serve both leisure and business travelers. Chicago is home to a large German American community, making it a natural target for Condor. It also serves as a major gateway for the U.S. Midwest. The route will be operated with an Airbus A330neo, the flagship of Condor’s long-haul fleet.

“Chicago is an ideal addition to our North American network and a market with significant potential for both leisure and business travel,” said Peter Gerber, CEO of Condor. The modern aircraft offers a quiet cabin, spacious interior, and contemporary onboard product. In Business Class, guests enjoy fully lie-flat seats measuring up to 6 feet 6 inches, direct aisle access from every seat, and a full premium service. Premium Economy offers greater legroom with increased seat pitch and additional amenities.

Passengers will benefit from onboard Wi-Fi and inflight entertainment. The A330neo also delivers lower fuel consumption and reduced CO₂ emissions compared with previous generation aircraft. Via Condor’s Frankfurt hub, travelers can access numerous onward connections to destinations across Europe, including flights operated by partner airlines. Facilities and Traveler Experience

Travelers will depart from Frankfurt Airport’s new Terminal 3. The state-of-the-art terminal offers modern infrastructure, short walking distances, and spacious facilities. Transfer passengers will benefit from efficient connections between long-haul and European flights. This infrastructure upgrade complements the new route and aligns with the airline’s broader network expansion.

While the schedule is seasonal, the addition of Chicago creates a direct link for visitors looking to experience the city’s world-renowned architecture, acclaimed museums, diverse culinary scene, and the unique waterfront along Lake Michigan. The route provides a convenient nonstop connection from Germany to the greater Chicago area for those visiting family, friends, or business partners.

The airline notes that the route will be available via www.condor.com or through all travel agencies. Condor is positioning the Frankfurt hub as a central connection point for passengers arriving from Chicago seeking access to a wide array of European destinations.
