Ferrari World Abu Dhabi recently inaugurated two new attractions, ‘Benno’s Great Race’ and ‘Flying Aces’.

Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development inaugurated the new family ride, Benno’s Great Race.

Expansion details

Commenting on the expansion, Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority said, “Our ongoing development programme to deliver what is effectively a reinvented theme park at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is making great progress. We have completed the second phase of the expansion introducing several new attractions to the mix, enriching the experience and increasing current capacity by 20 per cent, which will go up to 40 per cent by the time the expansion plans are completed.”

The completed second expansion phase at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi began in 2014 and saw the addition of several new attractions including Karting Academy, Ferrari Driving Experience, the triple record-breaking roller coaster, Flying Aces, and the ultimate interactive family ride, Benno’s Great Race.

In addition to the new rides introduced at the Park, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi also expanded on existing rides such as the kid-friendly ‘Junior Training Camp’, enhanced with climbing and free fall jumping experiences.

Benno’s Great Race

Benno’s Great Race, takes families on an adventurous journey with Benno the mouse, combining the charm and immersive storytelling of a dark ride with an interactive experience.

Flying Aces

Flying Aces will provide thrill-seekers with the opportunity to earn their wings as they enjoy a gravity defying experience onboard the flight of a lifetime. The record breaking ride, with the world’s tallest loop at 52 m and steepest and fastest cable lift incline at 51 degrees.

The bi-plane themed roller coaster is the ultimate test of courage with an exhilarating 135 second journey that reaches a speed of 120kmph along a 1.5km track. The ride mimics extreme gravity-defying flight acrobatics (including a non-inverted loop), rapid twists and turns and plenty of nail-biting moments. Linking to the rich heritage of Ferrari, the ride will take guests back in time to the early 1900s, to understand and appreciate the history of the legendary Prancing Horse emblem.
