Abu Dhabi International Book Fair returns in April

Mar 29 2017

The 27th edition of Abu Dhabi International Book Fair will run between April 26 and May 2, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. Organised by the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority (TCA), the fair consistently witnesses record-breaking participation from Arab and Foreign publishing houses, and includes a professional and cultural programme. While focussing on electronic publishing, digital content, electronic applications and the latest technologies in the publishing world, it will be full of activities.

The event will provide the perfect space for event developers and service providers to demonstrate their latest products and services to the publishing community. In this edition, the fair celebrates China as a Guest of Honour and philosopher Ibn Arabi, a pivotal character, given his intellectual theses and poetry set to Arabic music.

Saif Ghobash, the Director-General of the TCA, said, "The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair is one of the most important projects organised by the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority. The annual event has established its official stature as the biggest event of its kind, in addition to its high stature in the publishing sector of the world."

It represents the authority’s commitment to making Abu Dhabi a beacon for culture and an international destination for the publishing industry, he remarked.

The list of the Fair’s guests includes prominent novelists, authors, graphic designers, article writers, and societal trailblazers who come from the Middle East, Europe, Asia, North Africa, and North America.
